Project Description

In this project, the focus was on designing a customized cloud architecture and implementing automation using AWS tools in the services industry. The goal was to design a cloud infrastructure tailored directly to specific business requirements, and to optimize development workflows as well as data management.

Team Size

The project was executed by an interdisciplinary team of experts, consisting of:

  • 1 Cloud Architect: Responsible for the design of the cloud architecture and the strategic alignment of the infrastructure.
  • 1 DevOps Engineer: In charge of automation using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, and the setup of CI/CD pipelines with GitLab.
  • 1 Data Engineer: Focused on implementing AWS Redshift for data warehousing and AWS Glue for ETL processes.
  • 2-3 Software Developers: Working closely together to maintain code quality and adhere to DevOps principles.
  • 1 Scrum Master / Project Manager: Responsible for agile management and coordination of the project using Scrum.

Project Task

The primary tasks included:

  • Cloud Architecture Design: Aligning cloud infrastructure design with specific business requirements.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Utilizing AWS CDK and CloudFormation for efficient infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab on AWS, enhancing development workflows.
  • Data Warehousing & ETL: Implementing AWS Redshift for data warehousing and AWS Glue for ETL processes, ensuring efficient data management.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with developers, maintaining code quality, and adhering to DevOps principles.
